This year’s team heading to Cape Town to coach the children in the Townships held a golf fundraising day at Lurgan Golf Club. The event was a huge success with 100 golfers and guests taking part. We would like to thank the sponsors who kindly supported us on the day and all the golfers who took part in the competition.
The team head out to Cape Town on 18^th June to work for the Amy Biehl Foundation who work with over 2000 children in after school programmes every day.
The Coaches from Northern Ireland have been running the annual Sports Academy since 2006.

We recently became the first Consulting firm in Northern Ireland to achieve the prestigious Investors in People Gold Award. One of only four Consulting firms in the UK to achieve this level of Investors in People recognition. This award comes on the back of a successful track record in the use and delivery of the Investors in People Standard.
In 2005 we became the first organisation anywhere to achieve the Reviewed Investors in People Standard and now we have taken the achievement to another level by being recognised as an Investor in People Gold organisation.
A couple of years ago we made some key strategic changes in our business. We felt we were not really living our values so we changed our approach to how we were operating as a team and running the business. A fresh approach was required. It’s one thing having a set of office values on the office wall… but it’s another thing to really live them in how you deliver your business. This was crucial to our change programme. During our change programme the Investors in People Wider Framework was launched by Investors in People. This provided us with a fantastic model on which we could progress our culture improvement plan. We considered which elements of the framework could improve our Company and worked our way through it.
We are internationally recognised as one of the leading teams of specialists in the use of the Investors in People Model. To improve organisation success we provide Advisory and Assessment services to organisations of all sizes and sectors.

We are currently advising a number of organisations in Bermuda as they work with the Investors in People framework to improve business performance. In the last 12 months, Rosedon Hotel, Bacardi Global Headquarters and KPMG Bermuda have all achieved Investors in People recognition. Staff at TeleTech, a telecommunication services company based in Belfast, have recently achieved the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading, delivered by Eric Jenkinson of Jenkinson Consulting and Associates. Eric (far left) was delighted to present the staff with their qualifications. Commenting on their success, he said "all the delegates worked exceptionally hard throughout the programme, and were able to give numerous examples of how they had applied their learning to their roles at TeleTech."

Eric Jenkinson, Coordinator and Team Leader of the programme since its inception in 2005 said, “this year was a fantastic success.  We have really seen the hockey girls develop their skills over the past 4 years and this year we had a successful soccer academy which was run by Nigel McCann, Head Coach of Lurgan Institute Football Club.  We are watching these children grow and develop into young adults with a great attitude of mind and hope for the future.  It is our pleasure to support their personal development through the work of the Amy Biehl Foundation."

Eric congratulates Evelyn Collins, Chief Executive of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland, who were recently assessed by Eric against the Investors in People 'New Choices' framework. The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland gained additional recognition for their people management and development practices, achieving a Bronze award from Investors in People.

Gill recently graduated with an LL.M. in Law of Employment Relations from the University of Leicester.

Commenting on the achievement, she said "organisations naturally respond to changes in their operating environment, and understanding the European, GB and NI legal context is critical if changes that affect employees are to be managed appropriately. Obtaining a qualification in this field has added a valuable dimension to my HR skillset.

Studying part time whilst working certainly tested my time management skills, but as soon as I commenced the programme, I was able to apply the knowledge to the benefit of my clients - a core principle of our learning and development strategy at Jenkinson Consulting & Associates."
